Making a Difference with Canine Massage

Making a Difference with Canine MassageMaking a Difference with Canine MassageMaking a Difference with Canine Massage

Welcome

Welcome to Time for Pooch. My name is Katy Conway and I am located in Hickling nr. Melton Mowbray.  I am a fully insured and trained canine massage therapist. I hold massage qualifications from Galen Therapy Centre and The Healing Vet.

Canine massage is a brilliant alternative therapy to improve your dog's quality of life. Canine massage can help alleviate your dog's physical discomfort, promote faster healing, and enhance their overall mobility. By calming their nervous system, it can also address underlying emotional issues that may be contributing to behavioural problems, making them happier and more well-adjusted pets.

Whole Energy Body Balance (WEBB) is a deeply connected & specialised massage technique founded by Dr Edward Bassingthwaighte, the 'Healing Vet'. This is both different from and compliments regular massage therapy.  It treats both body and mind to help pets with physical pain and emotional dysfunction.

So many dogs can benefit from massage treatments, whether they are young or old, sporting dogs or stay at home dogs, have joint problems or simply having trouble getting on and off the sofa.

Talk to me about your dog and I will tailor a canine massage treatment specifically to address their needs.

Often results can be seen in as little as 1 to 3 treatments

Time for Pooch

"Time for Pooch" is Katy Conway, a fully trained and insured canine massage therapist based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

I have always felt an affinity with dogs from an early age. My first love was Claude, an English Setter who came into my life when I was just a few months old. Dogs have always played an important part in my family life including Setters, Dobies, Huskeys & Boxers.

My current canine buddy is Rhia, a Boxer x GSD rescue and she is my constant companion. We enjoy exploring the local countryside and participating in canine sports such as Hoopers and Agility.

At age 4 Rhia was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis, this was a huge shock to the system. Having been given the veterinary prognosis  I decided to see what I could do to support her as she aged with an orthopedic condition.

When it comes to Canine Massage I have 2 main skill sets.

My training from Galen Therapy Centre is very clinical and focused around anatomy and physiology of the physical body.

My other focus is Whole Energy Body Balance (WEBB). Created by holistic veterinarian Dr Edward Bassingthwaighte, it is very intuitive, and works on the basis that soft tissues hold memory and emotions. Often this pain goes unnoticed as dogs are very stoic creatures. This is silent pain.
